Corporate Social Responsibility

At Min Dhama we provide essential services for our employees and people, not only by creating jobs, paying taxes, providing accommodation and food, facilitating transportation but also by committing to anti-corruption, organizational transparency, employee rights, healthcare, safety and the protection of the environment. Moreover, Min Dhama’s purpose is to further enrich the welfare of own employees as well as Myanmar society. Most of our CSR activities seek to create a better future for all. Since 2014 to date, we have made with a total of 125 donations; 75 social donations, 25 for education, 17 for health and 8 donations for emergency responses to fire, flood and earthquake victims.

The following four programmes guide our efforts:

Eco-friendly Sustainable Development (The Green Concept)

As engineering & construction company, Min Dhama’s green concept refers to building practices that prioritize environmental responsibility and resource efficiency throughout a building’s life cycle. This includes sustainable site selection, eco-friendly design, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. While green building is still in its early stages in Myanmar, there’s growing awareness and some initiatives to promote it. Our landscaping team often spends time and money planting trees and cleaning compounds. It’s our best practice to dispose of industrial waste coordinated by YCDC municipal authority.

Resource Efficiency

This includes using less energy and water, employing renewable energy sources, and optimizing material usage.

Life Cycle Approach

Considering the environmental impact of a building from its design and construction to its operation, maintenance, and eventual deconstruction.

Capacity Building (Human Resource Development of Youth & Education Enhancement)

Min Dhama’s capacity building strengthens our human capital’s competencies to deliver projects effectively and sustainably by enhancing technical skills, improving project management capabilities, and strengthening financial and administrative systems.

We provide internship programmes to engineering students of technological universities. We have also donated a two-storey school building at Tha-da-oo Township, Mandalay Region for youth development and educational enhancement.

Community Development & Community Engagement

As the sole sponsor of Yangon Mini Marathon, we promoted healthy lifestyle with the support of Ministry of Health and Sports. We also contributed a large charitable donation to Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare for the development of society in general.

Disaster Relief Recovery

Min Dhama was conceived in the times of desperate need to help the victims of Fire, Flood, Cyclone Nargis (2008) and Mandalay Earthquake (2024). Those disaster made our people lost everything. Our taskforce team helped the victims on the ground by taking them food, clothing, temporary shelter as well as donating funds for their recovery process.
